Blue bicolor Ragdolls are called blue although they visually look like varying shades of gray. Blue bicolor Ragdolls have cool shades of white across their bodies, merging into points of deep gray-blue color. Their tummies and chests should be lighter than the rest of their body, sometimes almost white.
A pretty little pink nose and pink paw pads are defining features of the bicolor pattern in any Ragdoll color, including blue bicolor Ragdolls.
Why are they called blue "bicolor" Ragolls?

Bicolor means two colors. Blue bicolor Ragdolls have a white inverted V on their face. They have white legs, a white underbelly and the second color is on the ears, tail, nose and a paler color in a “saddle like pattern” on their back.
What do points mean?
Ragdolls possess a lighter body color with darker shades on their extremities or points, including their ears, paws, tail, and face. The contrast between the body and the points creates an alluring visual effect. The body color can vary from a light smoky gray to medium gray, that may get darker with age.

When will your bicolor Ragdoll kitten stop changing colors?
A Ragdoll’s bicolor coloring, like all Ragdolls, will continue to deepen and develop for the first 2 to 4 years of their life, with most changes occurring within the first year. Although Ragdolls are born white, their color will appear after a few weeks and gradually darken on their extremities and points (ears, face, paws, tail) due to a temperature-sensitive color-point gene. The body’s warmer temperature prevents full pigment production, creating the characteristic lighter body fur and darker points.

Other Physical Traits of Ragdolls
Ragdolls are semi-long haired, blue eyed pointed cats with sweet personalities. Ragdolls are slow to mature and may not reach full weight and size for four years.
These cats stand between 9–11 inches tall and are usually 17–21 inches in length (excluding their fluffy tail). The female weighs 10–25 pounds, with male Ragdoll cats typically weighing more 15-20 pounds, according to TICA. The Ragdoll is muscular with little fat except on the lower abdomen fatty pad.
“Docile and sweet, the Ragdoll cat is popular with families and individuals alike given their friendly demeanor and laid-back nature. They will happily assume the role of best buddy around anyone and will love to spend their day playing with their owners.” – Purina UK
Affectionate and People-oriented
Crave companionship: Ragdolls thrive on human interaction and form deep bonds with their families.
- Dog-like loyalty: Ragdolls are highly devoted and often greet their owners at the door.
- Love to cuddle: Ragdolls are perfect lap cats and will happily cuddle for long periods.
Docile and Gentle
Easygoing temperament: Ragdolls have a relaxed and peaceful nature that makes them ideal for families.
- “Floppy” nature: The Ragdoll breed gets its name from its tendency to go limp and relaxed when picked up, like a child’s ragdoll toy.
- Low aggression: Ragdolls are not typically aggressive and are tolerant of being handled, which is why they are often good with respectful children and other pets.
Playful Yet Calm
- Interactive play: Despite their gentle nature, Ragdolls enjoy interactive games like fetch.
- Moderate energy: Ragdolls are playful but not excessively high-energy, and they are equally content to just lounge around.
- “Floor cats”: Ragdolls often prefer to stay on the floor rather than climb to high places.
Quiet and Intelligent
- Low vocalization: Ragdolls tend to be quiet cats, communicating their needs with soft, sweet meows.
- Smart and trainable: Ragdolls are intelligent and can be easily trained to perform tricks using positive reinforcement.
